Juventus defender Daniele Rugani tested positive for coronavirus on Wednesday, Serie A club said.
The player Daniele Rugani tested for coronavirusCovid-19 positively and is now asymptomatic. “All the isolation procedures, including those which had contact with Him, are currently under way for Juventus Football Club” Rugani took seven appearances for this season– the last one of his 2-2 win over Spal on 22 February– but Sunday’s unused substitute for Juventus in his closed-door victory over Internazionale. Rugani also received training on Tuesday with the first team.
Inter reacted by suspending “all competitive activities,” including training, to the Rugani news.
“FC International announced that all competitive activities had to be suspended for a second notice following Juventus FC’s announcement that their player Daniele Rugani had been positive for Covid-19,” read the statement. “All the necessary procedures are being implemented by the club.”
